Seismic Testing
Melissa Johnson, May 8, 2006
GIS 1
This project was done because of concern over the effects of seismic testing has over whale and other marine animal behavior and health. Often over the span of oil-man history, there have been clashes between man's need for crude oil and nature. Political debates over what influence people have over the oceans have been occurring for numerous years in which man has had the most victories. Current situations such as the opening possibilities of drilling in ANWR (Artic National Wildlife Refuge) and the Gulf of Maine have reopened concerns of our ecosystem's future. This project was influenced by these concerns.
