Applied Research at UMM

One of the important facets of UMM’s mission is to conduct and foster applied research. Undergraduate researchers gain invaluable experience while providing relevant, cutting-edge information to the community. Some of these projects are considered service-learning projects because they are conducted according to the needs of a local business or agency, but all of them are service to the broader Downeast community.
