REGISTER ONLINE. If you would prefer to, you may download the Employer Registration Form as a PDF and mail it in.
Maine College Career Consortium
The MCCC is an organization of 24 colleges and universities from across Maine. The MCCC provides a service for employers to post job openings at no cost. Most colleges and universities host career and job fairs on their campuses that are open to all our current students and alumni.
Cooperative Education (co-op)
This program integrates classroom theory with work experience specific to a student's major. Our primary focus is to give students a broader educational experience through work (positions may be paid or unpaid). Many times, these positions can lead to full-time employment upon graduation. A successful experience involves a partnership among students, employers, and the university. Please let us know if you might be interested in working with one of our students.
Your primary requirements as a participating employer:
• Provide work experiences that relate, as much as possible, to the student’s field of study
• Provide assistance in helping the student achieve his/her identified learning objectives
• Allow an on-site evaluation visit for the purpose of verifying the student’s progress and success
•
Provide appropriate supervision and address observable strengths and
weaknesses. At the completion of the student’s work experience
(students must work a minimum of 70 hours per credit hour), evaluate
the student’s performance and discuss the assessment with him/her. This
feedback is a critical component of the co-op process; it helps
students grow and develop professionally.
