The Green Council's Mission:

To promote, encourage, and educate on issues concerning Environmentalism and Sustainability on campus and within the community. Green Council members will encourage and participate in UMM's adoption of Environmental policies and practices in accordance with this institution's mission statement. The membership work along side students, faculty, staff, and community organizations to achieve these goals.
 

Please join us! In spring 2008, we participated in RecycleMania and sponsored local events including community clean ups, guest speakers on alternative energy, community meetings, a "lights out" competition & jam, and "Yippy Bio Bia" - an open mic for Earth Day. Visit our website!
