HOLBROOK ISLAND SANCTUARY INTERNSHIPS 2012
Brief Job Description: College students, if you enjoy the outdoors and want to learn about the operations of Maine State Parks, this is an internship for you. This job entails maintaining facilities, grounds and trails on the mainland and island. A boat will be provided to ferry back and forth to the island. Also, interns will develop an interpretive program and present it to the public, along with helping other guest speakers set up for their programs.
Season: This is a 10 week position. These positions are staggered. One intern will start late May and end late July. The other position will start early June and end early August.
Hours: 40 hour work week.
Pay: These are stipend positions of $3,200 for a ten week season.
Housing: Is provided on Holbrook Island in a large rustic apartment with all amenities.
