Class Attendance
Regular attendance at classes is expected of all students, though each instructor is free to set whatever attendance requirements for an individual course as deemed suitable by the professor of that course. These requirements are printed in the course syllabus. If for some reason you find that you need to miss a class, it is your responsibility to make up any missed work, find a fellow student to get a copy of that classes notes and to inform the professor that you are missing that class.
The College recognizes as legitimate reasons for occasional absence such difficulties as illness, accident, family grief, or pressing personal responsibility. If absences for these or other reasons are excessive in terms of the stated attendance policy for the class, the student should explain the problem to the instructor, or the instructor may initiate such a discussion. If excessive absences persist, the student may be assigned a grade of "F" for the course.
