Open House for UMM’s Gender & Sexual Minority (LGBTQIA) Resource Center

The 100% Society at the University of Maine at Machias is hosting an open house for UMM’s Gender & Sexual Minority Resource Center for students and community members looking for specific resources, general support, and answers to questions concerning Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Allied (friends & family) issues.
The 100% Society is a student organization that supports students and local community members who belong to a gender/ sexual minority or have friends or family members who do. The Student Senate and UMM Student Activities also provide oversight and support for the 100% Society and the Gender & Sexual Minority Resource Center. 100% Society elected officers who have received Safe Space and other training will hold office hours and confidentially respond to phone calls and voicemail, 255-1300. Information on the 6th Annual Rainbow Ball Weekend for Maine high school youth will also be available (April 19-21, 2013). Donations of books, posters, and DVDs on LGBTQIA topics are welcome as well as specific requests for support. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us all are welcome.
